Cabbage leaves relieve engorgement

For this entry, I'd like to share my experience of using cabbage leaves to relieve engorgement. Thanks to my friend, Nisa, for giving me this tips. Engorgement is a swelling of the breasts, and yes, it's really make woman suffer, especially first-time mother. I'm glad that I experienced it for 1-day only, that's already suffer enough for me (I hope it won't come again!).

Let's read this article for more details on how cabbage leaves relieve engorgement :)

1st delivery experience - Cesarean

Dady azankan our baby :)
1st Oct 2010, a special day for mamy and dady. That morning mamy woke up at 4am, and actually that night no one could sleep well. After shower n dressed up, around 5.10am, kakak arrived at my house, then we're heading to Tey Maternity, by 2 cars, mum with kakak, and mamy with dady. I need to check-in at 5.30am, as the operation would start at 6.30am.
Once arrived, there's one midwife I think, (named Bedah) asked me to pass my handphone, wallet, everything to husband. Then she brought me in and get me prepared for the operation. She seemed like in hurry in getting me ready. Maybe she didn't want me to be late for the operation. She started to clear the area to be operated, to remove all hair in the tummy area. Then, she did insert something and ask me to go to toilet to get all 'waste' out. After that, they get me dress in operation wear, and, insert the urine tube. Huhh..All these never came into my mind before. Luckily no pain yet, so far. By 6am, I'm ready for the operation, and I could hear the nurse called and remind all the doctors about the operation time. On that moment, I've already started to feel uneasy, something ridiculous came into my mind, "I don't want to conceive in the nearest time after this.."(LOL ;p) Now I know waiting outside is much better, compare to become someone to be waited by everyone outside. But, the baby is in my womb, so no choice I'm the one who need to be inside here.
Gosh! The chubby me! With mum and my dadysyg :)
After 5 minutes, they pushed me to the Operation Room (OR). On the way to the OR, mum, kakak and dady accompany me along the corridor and motivate me to be strong. And finally I was in the OR. The air-cond in the OR is freaking cold, man!
6.40am, operation started. I was given spinal anesthesia. Then, one doctor came and asked me in mandarin, “Do you feel numb?” But I didn't reply cause I only speak mandarin with Dr. Tey. Then that doctor asked me in Malay. Lol! I didn't realize that doctor is Dr. Tey! Haha..I didn't recognize him coz he's wearing the operation mask! After few minutes, I still awake but feel numb from the chest to the legs. So, I've no idea whether they have started their job or not. After 10 minutes operation, my beloved husband, dady walked in and sit next to me. I thought the nurses forgot to call him. But, they didn't forget. Dady hold my hand, my forehead and accompany me till the operation end. Thanks dadysyg. Suddenly, I've heard baby crying..just couldn't believe it. Then, the midwife show us our baby. Yes, he's a boy - Muhammad Adam Rayyan. While, the doctor continued his job closing the incision.
*His name abbreviation MuAR ;)
Mu - Muhammad
A - Adam
R - Rayyan
I'm glad I didn't feel the pain during the procedure, coz I didn't think I'm strong enough to feel the pain. But, I know after the operation I've another challenging phase, the process of healing.
After the operation completed, I was sent to ward, Room 1st class 1. I've to stay 3days 2nights, and dady accompanied me every night. Thanks again dady. The 1st day, I'm not allowed to use pillow, and I only could start to have my meal after I've fart. The second day, I was allowed to use pillow and also eat. Syukur. But still using urine tube coz doctor didn't allow me to stand up yet. Finally the third day, around 7am, nurses taught me to stand up slowly. Syukur. I'm able to stand and walk. But, I was advised to lay down with only 1 pillow for 1 week after discharged.
Incubated for 1 week :(

My baby, I didnt get the chance to hug, hold, breastfeed (bf) him directly for 1 week (and that was the 1st time I use breastpump) coz he's incubated for 1 week due to breathing problem..Now Alhamdulillah, he's fine ;)

My 1st entry after becoming Rayyan's Mamy :)

This is my 1st entry after becoming my baby's Mamy ;) I was thinking to update my blog after my confinement period, but I just can't stand the boredom.
Today is the 16th-day, I've started to feel bored and can't wait to end my 44days of confinement!! Even though I know once I go back to my house, I've to do everything on my own, but, I think that's what I suppose to do, yes, I have to get myself to do it. I just don't want to hurt my parents more :( especially when I am emotionally unstable.
Today after lunch dady had introduce and dedicate Maher Zain's songs - For The Rest of My Life, and, InshaAllah, to me. I like those songs. Peaceful melody, to be heard when I feel tense or stressful. Thanks dadysyg!
